NOMINATIONS FAQ

Everything you need to know about nominating someone, what happens after you submit, and how The Proud of You Project protects the people whose stories are shared with us.

THE PROJECT

WHAT IS THE PROUD OF YOU PROJECT?

Some people carry more than anyone realizes and still show up every day. The Proud of You Project exists to remind them that somebody sees them. Through nominations, private Proud of You cards, monthly recognition, and the Proud of You Pack, we turn appreciation into action.

COMMON NOMINATION QUESTIONS

Who can I nominate?

Nominate someone you personally know whose effort, care, resilience, or impact deserves to be recognized. The strongest nominations come from people who can tell us a real story about why that person matters.

What makes a strong nomination?

Specificity matters. Tell us what this person carries that others may not see, describe a difficult moment when they kept showing up, explain what they do for the people around them, and tell us what would genuinely take something off their plate.

What information do I need to nominate someone?

The nomination form asks for the nominee’s name, email address, city/state, how you know them, and several story-based questions. Their social media is optional. We also ask for your contact information so our team can follow up if needed.

What happens after I submit a nomination?

Your nomination is received privately and reviewed by The Proud of You Project team. After submitting, you can also send the nominee a private “I’m Proud of You” card, download the card, or share its private link.

Does the person I nominate know right away?

Submitting the form does not automatically publish their story. After you nominate them, you can choose to send them the private Proud of You card. If we need more information or they move forward in the recognition process, our team may contact them directly.

How are honorees selected?

Our team reviews nominations with care and looks at the story behind the person being recognized. The process is about meaningful recognition—not likes, follower counts, or who can generate the most attention online.

What does a selected honoree receive?

Selected honorees may receive a Proud of You Pack built to provide a thoughtful mix of relief, rest, joy, and recognition. The exact products, services, experiences, and value can change from month to month.

Will you publish the nominee’s story, name, or photo?

Not without their permission. We ask the nominee for explicit consent before publishing their story, name, image, or sensitive details. A nomination itself never automatically becomes public.

Can I keep my name private?

Yes. When you send the Proud of You card, you can choose to stay anonymous. If an honoree story is later published, your name can also be withheld so the public attribution can simply say that the nomination came from a person who is proud of them.

Is the nominee’s social media required?

No. Social media is optional. The nominee’s email address is required so there is a reliable private way to reach them if needed.

Can I nominate more than one person?

Yes. Submit a separate nomination form for each person so every story can be reviewed on its own.

Does it cost anything to submit a nomination?

No. There is no fee to nominate someone for The Proud of You Project.

What if I made a mistake or need help with a nomination?
